This workshop, aimed at our retiree members, will provide you with the tools to enhance your effectiveness as an informed advocate for the Foreign Service in your home community. The workshop will focus on the key messages which are crucial to conveying the work of the Foreign Service; the importance of using real world examples; and how to effectively tailor a presentation to the target audience. We will also review resources available from AFSA, including talking points and background briefing materials which can help prepare you to make the case for diplomacy and development.
