AFSA is pleased to announce a new series of discussions focused on issues dealing with the Foreign Service as a profession. Topics will range from practical advice to deeper conversations about the nature of our profession and our duties and responsibilities as members of the Foreign Service.
 
The tradition of dissent has a long history in the Foreign Service. With the February 28 deadline for nominations for AFSA’s dissent awards approaching, Annie Pforzheimer, chair of AFSA’s Awards Committee, will lead a discussion of what constitutes dissent in our Foreign Service tradition and why it is important.
